Betty Lefler Babcock Burgener passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from age related complications.
Her loss is deeply felt by her beloved family and many friends.
She was born on April 10, 1932 in Heber City, Utah to Zenas and Dorothy Lefler.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She served in many callings throughout her life and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She was an amazing example to all those around her. She was generous with her time and talents, and you could expect a meal if you came to visit. Her banana bread was as legendary as her whistle, and her baking was always shared with those around her. She taught her family to work hard and lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Betty worked for the 3rd district court as a clerk for many years. She enjoyed playing her organ, crocheting, baking, and connecting with lifetime friends. She meticulously cared for her beautiful home and yard.
She enjoyed telling stories of her younger years and enjoyed visits and calls with her twin brother Bill.
She will be remembered for her love of family and dear friends. She touched the hearts and lives of anyone who knew her. She will be forever loved and missed.
Betty is survived by her twin brother Bill Lefler, daughter-in-law, Peggy, son Phil (Kaye) Babcock, son Mike (Lara) Babcock, daughter Patricia (Bryan) Gilley, 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death her husband Virgil Babcock, son David V Babcock, husband Ted C Burgener, parents Dorothy & Zen Lefler and 3 grandchildren (Adrienne, Quinn and Kamie).
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her many friends and neighbors who drove her to dialysis for years, the professional and compassionate staff at DaVita Dialysis Center and her many doctors and caregivers.
