Oakley-Bethel B. Harris, age 96, passed away April 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in Oakley, Utah.  She was born on February 25, 1920 in Kamas, Utah to Jesse Paul and Ada Mae (Bowers) O’driscoll.
She married Jay T. Harris on July 9, 1937 in Coalville, Utah.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the L.D.S. Temple.  He preceded her in death.
Bethel was a member of the Oakley Civic Club.  She was one of the owners of the Harris Chariot Racing Team.  She loved to dance and roller skate in her younger years.   One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren play high school sports, particularly basketball.  She was an avid Jazz fan.   As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she worked in the youth programs with the young women.
She is survived by her daughters: Roma Lee Anderson; and Patsy Ann (Del Ray) Hatch;  Daughter-in-law: Marla Lou Harris; sister: Bessie Russell; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Harris; a son, William J “Bill” Harris; son-in-law, Gary Anderson; a grandson, Clint Anderson; brothers Paul, Bob, and Pat O’driscoll; and a sister Rosemary Atkinson.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon in the Oakley/Peoa LDS Ward chapel.  Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service, also at the church.
The family would like to thank Audrey and Brittany for their special care.
Interment will be in the Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
