Together Again
Bessie B. O'Driscoll Russell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away at home on May 13, 2016, with her loving daughters by her side. She was born February 17,1933, in Kamas, UT to Jesse Paul and Ada Mae (Bowers) O'Driscoll. Mom married her sweetheart, Ronald W. Russell, on October 29, 1949. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 2, 1955.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Lynn W. Russell; her granddaughter, Marci Jaye Russell; and her brothers and sisters, Lillie, Jessie Paul, Howard (Pat), Bethel, Bob, and Rosemary. She is survived by her daughters, Ronie Sue (Clint) Wilde, Barbara (Ken) Dalton, and Bonie Mae (Boyd) Mitchell, as well as 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law, Barbara
Louise Vanhook, Janice O'Driscoll.
Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings. She was also an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and received her 50-year membership pin in 2014. She was an EMT for 14 years. She played the piano her whole life, and shared her talents in concerts, recitals, and during church services. She also loved teaching the piano, gardening, and oil painting.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m., at the Kamas LDS chapel, 100 West Center Street, Kamas, Utah. Her viewing will be at the church on Tuesday, May 17, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in the Francis Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas.
