Arvin “G” Billings, age 82, completed his earthly mission and returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 10th, 2022. He was born in Vernal, Utah on June 4, 1940 to Eldon and Dezzie Billings – one of nine children. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1959, where he was a two-time state Wrestling Champion. Arvin married Jeanette Meacham in the Logan Temple on November 15th 1963. They raised a beautiful family of six children.
Arvin was a hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit who owned, co-owned, and operated several small businesses over the years.
Arvin was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a two year mission in the Alaska-Canadian Mission 1961 to 1963. Together, Arvin and Jeanette spent six years serving a church service mission for the LDS Motion Picture Studio from 2014 to 2020.
Arvin lived life to the fullest every day and was always willing to help everyone and anyone who needed it. He had so much enjoyment in sharing all his recreational toys and using his mechanic skills to help others. We will all miss the impish twinkle in his eyes. There was no place that he would rather be than being around his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Arvin is survived by his wife, Jeanette and six children: Quint Billings, Minette Wolz (Michael); Dace Billings (Aldo); Destry Howard (Kurt); Cinnamon Davis; Cheyenne Billings (Alexie). Surviving also are 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren whom he absolutely adored. He is also survived by five of his eight siblings.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the many prayers, cards, flowers, food and visits. They are especially grateful for the skilled and compassionate hospital and hospice staff at CVMC.
