Arda “Darlene” Bennett
July 15, 1931 – Nov 7, 2011
Kamas, UT -- Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away at Hunter Hollow Care Center in Salt Lake City on Monday, November 7, 2011 of natural causes, at the age of 80. She was born in Anaconda Montana, to Verda and Joseph Tanner. The family moved to Salt Lake where she grew up and graduated from Granite High School. Arda “Darlene” married Jay Bennett November 13, 1955. She retired after 25 fulfilling years in the banking industry. Her smile and generosity touched the hearts of all who knew her. Being an avid animal lover and having a green thumb they moved to a small farm in Kamas. She enjoyed the lifestyle caring for the animals and watching things grow. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay, son Craig, brother Dale, and sister Ruth. She is survived by her daughters Jaelyn (Tom) Wallace, Daryce (Anthony) Young, as well as sister Leora Farnsworth, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Her wishes were for a simple family graveside service, which will be held Friday, November 11, 2011. She will be missed very much, but will always be in our hearts. The family hopes that your fond memories of Darlene bring you peace and comfort. They would also like to thank Copperview Medical, Legacy Hospice, Legacy House and Hunter Hollow for their exceptional care. With special thanks to Dr. Mary Tipton for her loving care and support.
