Amy Kay Kolan was born on July 3, 1986 in Evanston, Wyoming to parents Dale and Rosalie Kolan. She died at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, on June 5, 2015. She was raised in Fort Bridger, WY until she graduated high school in 2005 and moved to Oceanside, CA. While in California, she completed her B.A. from California State University- San Marcos in Visual and Performing Arts with an emphasis in Technology. She won several awards for photography and design throughout San Diego County. In 2013 Amy returned home to help care for family, which also allowed her to expand her portfolio with astounding wildlife and scenery shots throughout the United States. Amy passed away on June 5, 2015 at the age of 28. She is survived by her parents Dale Grant Kolan and Rosalie Carol Kolan (Wardell) of Fort Bridger, WY. Siblings, Preston Dale Kolan of Colorado Springs, CO; Anton Gerald Kolan (Ashley) of Mountain View, WY; Samantha RoseAnne Schoenberger (Lauren) of Tallahassee, FL; and Cody Robert Kolan of Fort Bridger, WY; grandparents Victor and Ida Kolan of Lehi, Utah; nieces and nephews Ashton, Keaton, Daphne, Sadie, and Amber. Preceded in death by grandparents Gerald and Peggy Wardell of Yellville, Arkansas.
Services for Amy will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the LDS church in Mountain View, WY. The viewing will be at 1pm followed by the funeral service at 2pm. Amy will be laid to rest in Fort Bridger, WY.
