Alice Round

Alice Jean Round, 96, of Bear River, WY passed away on January 3, 2021.

She was born on January 14, 1924 in York, Nebraska to Rollie William Campbell and Elsie May Ellis. Alice Jean worked in a bomb factory during WWII, and her last 33 years of work was in telecommunications with California Water & Tel, which became Verizon, where she retired in 1986. She married her husband, Buford Archibald Round on September 5, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Alice Jean is survived by her son and daughter in law, Greg and Tami Hughes; grandchildren Michael Hughes, Jeff (Heather) Hughes, Jared Hughes, Shaylee Hughes, Johnathan Davidson, Lynnea (Greg) Hughes-Ta’ala, Mariah Hughes, and Junie Milligan; great grandchildren Ethan Hughes, Violet Hughes, Lilyanne Hughes, Camillia Hughes, Kaymen Roan, Kylie Roan, and Jaime Hughes and also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Buford Round; son Garry; daughter Kathryn; her sister, Gladys and ex-husband Max Hughes.

A funeral service for Alice Jean is Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY.

Burial will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
