Alice Cleo Hutchinson Dean, age 91, passed away on September 15, 2013, in Evanston. She was born on May 20, 1922, to John and Esther Bateman Hutchinson. Cleo was a life-long resident of Evanston, graduating from Evanston High in 1940. While in high school and afterwards, she worked as a typist at the Uinta County Courthouse. When World War II called, she went to Cheyenne and worked on B17 bombers; she was very proud of her time as Rosie the Riveter. Cleo married Clair Linnay Dean on September 12, 1945, and was married for 37 years when he preceded her in death in 1981. They raised a family of four sons.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Margaret and Hazel, her husband Linnay and an infant son Kelly. She is survived by her four sons: Joe (Bette), of Evanston, Danny (Charla) of Ogden, Utah, Kevin of Evanston, and Todd (Dorinda) of Syracuse, Utah; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Hutchinson of Evanston.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday Sept 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Evanston City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
