Alice Marie Barnes, passed away at her home in Mountain View, Wyoming on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. She was born April 27, 1938 in Evanston, WY to William and Bertha Hutchinson.
Alice graduated from Evanston High School in 1955. She married Stephen L. Barnes in May of 1974, and were later sealed in the Ogden, Utah LDS Temple. She always loved the time she spent with her husband until he passed away in 2010.
Alice enjoyed crocheting, and the color purple. She loved to tease others. She loved being outdoors, walking her dogs, gardening, and working at the ranch. She taught her children the benefits of working hard by making them help feed the cows, gather eggs, and all the chores at the ranch. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her kids and grandkids and was proud that her grandson Stephen was named after both of his grandfathers. She will be dearly missed.
Alice is survived by her children Corey Barnes; Jason Barnes; Cody (Mary) Barnes, and her grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Ada and Durene Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen, her parents William and Bertha, and siblings.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11 am at the LDS Ward Chapel on Oak Street in Evanston, Wyoming. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Crandall Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to services on Monday at the Church.
Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.
