Alene Thompson

Alene Thompson, passed away January 17, 2015 at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was born on January 30, 1933 in Kamas, Utah to Ira Albert Miles and Letha Gines Miles.
She married Merlin E. Thompson on March 5, 1952 in Kamas, Utah.   He preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.
Alene loved her family.  She enjoyed camping and spending time with them outdoors.  She and Merlin spent twenty years trucking together across the United States.  She was raised L.D.S. and did genealogy work.  She also enjoyed crochet and western movies.

She is survived by her sons: Steven (Barbara) Thompson; and Brian Thompson, both of Salt Lake City.  Also seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin; parents, Ira and Letha Miles; a sister Naoma Wilson and a brother, Glendon Miles.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Francis Cemetery, Francis, Utah.  Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home, 105 East Center, Kamas, for viewing  Friday from 12 to 12:45 prior to the service.
