She married Barry Ripley and had 1 son Steve.  She Attended the University of Wyoming and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with an emphasis in early childhood education.  Bert and Steve moved to Evanston in August of 1980, where she met a whole crop of new teachers to the booming area.  Many of them were lifelong friends.  She taught 1st grade at East and Aspen Elementary schools.  She was remarried to Ben Huff in June of 1982, and they had 1 son Adam. The family moved to Sunnyside Washington in 1989 where Bert taught Kindergarten for 2 years in Grandview.  The family then moved to the Payson Utah area in 1991 where she taught for a few years in Spanish Fork and also did some other jobs.
