Arvin Anderson
1929-2014
Albert Arvin Anderson, 84, passed away January 5, 2014 in Heber City Utah.
Born May 20, 1929 in Heber City, UT, the son of Parley Seymour and Sarah Elizabeth (Oaks) Anderson  eighth of nine children.
He was student body president and graduate of Wasatch High in 1947, and graduate of Brigham Young University class of 1951.
He married the love of his life, Clara Ardean Clyde on August 20, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They moved first to Three Forks and later Sheridan Montana where he worked for the federal government as a soil scientist. In 1955 they moved to the Diamond Bar X Ranch on the upper Provo River above Woodland Utah where he and Ardean raised their family and spent the rest of their lives. He lived his life dream of being a cattleman and a rancher. He loved the smell of fresh cut hay, a full ditch of water, a newborn calf and a good horse beneath him. He knew a cow’s next move before she ever thought of it. He loved to play his guitar and sing especially around campfires on a summer night.
As a member of the LDS church he held various positions over the years and was a faithful home teacher.
He loved his mountain home but it was never quite the same after the passing of Ardean in 2007. He missed her deeply but endured on until his passing and was often heard to say, “All I can do is the best I can.”
He is survived by his three sons: Jeff (Laurie) Anderson, Woodland Hills UT; Rob Anderson (David Hansen), South Portland, ME and Roy (Mary Ellen) Anderson, Baker City, OR; also, six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ardean; four brothers, Deal, Bill, Ardean, and Lynn and four sisters, Larna, Belva, Nettie and Alda; and one great-grandson, Issac James Miller.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in the Woodland LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Woodland LDS Church Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10:30-11:40 a.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Heber City Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
